Zephaniah

Zephaniah was a man at the center of Judah’s political and religious world.  Despite the evil of his day, he rose up as a man of God to proclaim God’s message of warning, invitation, and promise to Judah.  A warning of judgment upon those who had turned from Him; an invitation to seek the LORD; and a promise of restoration for the people of God. Though God brought judgment upon Judah and the surrounding nations of the day, His warning, invitation, and promise are still for us today. We live in a world that rejects and turns from God’s truth to follow other gods and idols, but God, through Christ, continues to invite us to seek and know Him as we look forward to His promised restoration of all things.
