Primary Sunday School
This is the Bible; the stories are true.
It tells of God’s love for me and for you
On a Sunday morning at Stumptown, Sunday School classes are held from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. for 2-year-olds through Grade 8 at the same time that the adult and youth group classes are held.
Our dedicated teachers are living examples of walking in faith.
The nursery is open but unstaffed during the Sunday School hour (9:00-10:00 a.m.). The nursery is staffed by two loving caregivers during the worship service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. It is supplied with age-appropriate books and toys for babies up to 2 years old. It is also available for parents to change diapers or nurse.
Toddlers (2’s & 3’s)
Sunday school from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Loving teachers interact using songs and activities from Bible-based HeartShaper curriculum. Toddlers continue in the same room for child care during the worship service. The spacious room allows for movement with age-appropriate toys, as well as a comfortable area for reading books. A snack is provided during the worship hour. This unstructured time allows children to move independently from area to area of the room, developing social skills with encouraging caregivers.
Pre-K – Elementary
Caring Sunday School teachers help children develop an understanding of the Bible. Children participate in songs, interactive games, and activities to learn about Bible characters, stories, and key truths as well as the life and teaching of Jesus Christ from HeartShaper and Bible-in-Life Curriculum. Our small class sizes encourage relationship-building.
During Sunday School, junior youth learn about applying Biblical values to their lives and how to become a follower of Jesus in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Conversation is based on Bible-in-Life Curriculum.
